CLI command reference

Expand commands by group to inspect arguments. These are public CLI help snapshots from this documentation review, without real devices or credentials. Compare with your installed command’s –help when versions differ.

Conventions

ENDPOINT is a saved device ID; TARGET generally means ENDPOINT:TERMINAL_ID. Replace uppercase placeholders. Use –json only where supported and NDJSON for event streams.

Retain the returned target, inspect program exit_code after waiting, and remember that history search currently targets the local daemon. See CLI introduction and script results.

Common global options include –config, –socket, –log-file and –timeout. Subcommands can define their own timeout defaults. Run anytty for the TUI; use anytty update –check or anytty update for updates.

anytty terminal list
List terminals from one or all daemon endpoints

Usage:
  anytty terminal list [flags]

Flags:
      --all-endpoints     aggregate every enabled endpoint
      --format string     Go template over stable lowercase terminal fields

      --no-header         omit the human table header
      --state string      filter by exact lifecycle state

anytty terminal show
Show one terminal from its owning daemon endpoint

anytty terminal create
Create a terminal on an owning daemon endpoint

Usage:
  anytty terminal create [-- COMMAND...] [flags]

Flags:
      --attach               attach after creation
      --cols uint16          initial terminal columns
      --cwd string           working directory on the daemon host
      --env stringArray      environment entry KEY=VALUE (repeatable)

anytty terminal attach
Attach the TUI to a terminal

Usage:
  anytty terminal attach TARGET [flags]

Flags:

anytty terminal capture
Capture authoritative terminal history or the latest native screen

Usage:
  anytty terminal capture TARGET [flags]

Flags:
      --cols int           history projection width (default 80)

      --lines int          maximum projected history rows (default 200)
      --live               capture the latest native screen instead of history
      --timeout duration   operation timeout (default 30s)

anytty terminal send
Send literal bytes, named keys, hex bytes, or stdin to a terminal

Usage:
  anytty terminal send TARGET [TEXT...] [flags]

Flags:
      --enter                 append a carriage return
  -h, --help                  help for send
      --hex stringArray       hex-encoded bytes (repeatable)
      --json                  print machine-readable JSON
      --key stringArray       named key such as Enter, Ctrl-C, Up, or Escape (repeatable)

anytty terminal wait
Wait for a daemon-owned terminal lifecycle state

Usage:
  anytty terminal wait TARGET [flags]

Flags:
  -h, --help               help for wait
      --json               print machine-readable JSON
      --state string       created, running, exited, or removed (default "exited")
      --timeout duration   maximum wait duration (default 30s)

Global Flags:

anytty terminal events
Stream daemon terminal events as human records or NDJSON

Usage:
  anytty terminal events [TARGET] [flags]

Flags:
      --count int          stop after N events (0 streams until canceled)
  -h, --help               help for events
      --json               write NDJSON event records
      --output string      human or ndjson (default "human")
      --timeout duration   optional stream timeout
      --type stringArray   event type filter (repeatable)

anytty terminal restart
Restart a terminal from its daemon-owned process specification

Usage:
  anytty terminal restart TARGET [flags]

Flags:

Stop a terminal process and preserve its record and history

Usage:
  anytty terminal kill TARGET [flags]

Remove an exited terminal record

anytty endpoint list
List configured endpoints without dialing them

Usage:
  anytty endpoint list [flags]

Show one configured endpoint and all routes

Dial one route and verify anytty protocol reachability

Usage:

anytty endpoint add
Add an endpoint with its first route

Usage:
  anytty endpoint add [command]

Available Commands:
  cloud       Add an endpoint with a managed-webrtc route
  direct      Add an endpoint with a direct-webrtc-tcp route
  local       Add an endpoint with a local-unix route
  ssh         Add an endpoint with a ssh-webrtc-tcp route

anytty endpoint update
Update endpoint identity, label, or selection policy

Usage:
  anytty endpoint update ID [flags]

Flags:
      --connect-mode string    auto, on_demand, or manual (default "on_demand")
      --hedge-delay duration   delay before starting the next priority group (default 300ms)

Share portable Endpoint routes and policy through a one-time TLS session

Usage:
  anytty endpoint share ID [flags]
  anytty endpoint share [command]

Available Commands:
  receive     Receive, preview, and atomically import an Endpoint share

Flags:
      --address stringArray   receiver-reachable TLS HOST:PORT (repeatable)
  -h, --help                  help for share
      --listen string         one-time TLS listener address (default "0.0.0.0:41130")
      --raw                   print the share URI instead of a QR code
      --ttl duration          share session lifetime (default 10m0s)

anytty pair create
Issue a short-lived one-time pairing claim from the local daemon

Usage:
  anytty pair create [flags]

Flags:
      --access-label string             owner-defined name for the resulting client authorization
      --command                         write a copyable one-command pairing import
      --direct-address stringArray      published Direct HOST:PORT used for both setup and ICE TCP (repeatable)
      --direct-id string                stable ID suffix for the parameterized Direct Route
      --direct-name string              display name for the parameterized Direct Route
      --grant-ttl duration              bound capability lifetime (default 0: no expiration)

Redeem a one-time claim into client-bound credentials and endpoint registry

      --allow-scope-expansion   confirm replacing an existing credential with a broader capability scope
      --client-label string     label recorded for this client access key

Upload a local file and wait for daemon checksum confirmation

Local history · history

anytty history search
Search authoritative terminal history

Usage:
  anytty history search <terminal-id> <pattern> [flags]

Flags:
  -A, --after-context int    print NUM lines after each match
  -B, --before-context int   print NUM lines before each match
      --color string         highlight matches: auto, always, or never (default "auto")
  -C, --context int          print NUM lines before and after each match
  -E, --extended-regexp      interpret the pattern as a Go RE2 regular expression
