Install AnyTTY
Install anytty on the computer that will run your tasks. The binary includes the TUI, CLI and daemon. Phones and tablets use a separate App paired with that computer.
Desktop installation
macOS or Linux:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/anytty/anytty/main/install.sh | sh
Windows PowerShell:
Invoke-WebRequest https://raw.githubusercontent.com/anytty/anytty/main/install.ps1 -OutFile install.ps1
.\install.ps1
Alternatively, download the matching OS and architecture archive from GitHub Releases, verify its published checksum, and put the executable on PATH. Available platforms depend on that release’s assets.
The installer supplies a recommended TUI configuration when none exists. Reinstalling does not replace an existing configuration with newer recommended bindings.
Verify and open the workbench
anytty --version
anytty
Running anytty starts the local daemon when necessary. You do not need to run daemon start first. If the command is missing, reopen your terminal and check that the installation directory is on PATH.
Next, create your first terminal in the TUI. Opening the workbench and creating a task are separate steps.
Phones and tablets
Find Android packages on the release page and use the TestFlight entry for iOS/iPadOS. Check the distribution page for availability, expiration and system requirements.
Follow first mobile connection after installation. Installing the App does not grant access to any computer.
Maintenance
Use anytty update --check to check for updates. Read updates and compatibility before upgrading: replacing the binary and restarting the daemon are separate operations. See daemon management when you need background startup, logs or diagnosis.
